Houses non-releasable birds of prey and some mammals and reptiles.

Age limits: Must be 16 years old


Candidate Requirements: Must fill out volunteer application before proceeding with volunteer duties


During school year

  • Weekdays: During winter months, Monday through Friday the Sanctuary is open from 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM
  • Weekends: Saturday and Sunday, from10:00 AM to 4:00 PM
During summer
  • Weekdays:During the summer months, the Sanctuary is open 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM Monday through Friday
  • Weekends: Saturday and Sunday, from10:00 AM to 4:00 PM
Holidays: We can accommodate groups of volunteers on holidays depending on staff availability


Duties:

  • Trail Maintenance, Wildlife Care, may have some office work such as bulk mailing, vacuuming, window washing, cleaning bird aviaries, spread woodchips, raking leaves, etc.
  • We also offer Junior Naturalist sessions during the summer months, a character-building program which fosters skills and attitudes leading to successful volunteer opportunities/
