Candidate Requirements:

• Signed form evidencing recent physical exam
• Blood work at hospital to test for immunity to certain childhood diseases (no charge)
• Drug screen at hospital (no charge)as well as a background check
• PPD test for Tuberculosis
• 50 hours of service required for reference letter or letter of recommendation evidencing community service
• Candidates must commit to a minimum of 1 3-hour shift per week

During school year:

• Volunteer opportunities for the school year generally close by mid-September and open again in the Spring
• Weekdays: Yes – 3-6 PM and 4-7 PM
• Weekends: No

• Weekdays: 9 AM – noon and noon -3 PM (typically closes out by mid-May)
• Weekends: No

Duties:

• Clerical positions – Admitting and Medical Records patients being discharged
• Medical position – Various surgical nursing stations:
• Messenger, clerks, some patient contact
• Gift shop - teens work in pairs
