The museum is devoted to Native Americans, Geology and Outdoor Education.

Age limits: Minimum 16 years old


Candidate Requirements:

  • Like children, adaptable
  • During the summer, commit to a minimum of 3 days a week, either morning, afternoon or all day

Duties:

  • General duties: working primarily with children and to a lesser extent with adult visitors, also support activities, assisting at major events
  • Children’s Summer Workshop:
    • Assisting with collections or exhibits, Native American or Geology
    • Clearing and maintaining nature trails and the “Sight Trail” for the blind
  • Major Events:
    • Thanksgiving Native American Feast (weekend before Thanksgiving)
    • February School Break—Native American Indian Games, Crafts
    • Garvies Point Day, first Saturday in August
    • International Beach Clean-up Day (September)
