Free English as a Second Language (ESL), GED in Spanish and Computer Skills are offered six days and five evenings a week throughout the year at C.A.S.A. for all adult Nassau County residents. The classes are funded by the Hempstead PS District Adult and Community Education Program and by education grants.

LVA-NC helps people read, write, and speak English. They recruit and train volunteer tutors, assess students, and match students with tutors.

ESL classes are available at various locations for English speaking levels. There is a registration fee involved.

 
Nassau Community College Adult Program English Language Institute Pre-College Intensive Language

Courses are offered through the College's Continuing Education Program which has been specially designed to help those who plan on attending college to improve overall language proficiency in English. New students should make an appointment to take the English Language Institute Placement Test by calling 516-573-0165 (change) or e-mail: lincc@ncc.edu. Or you can do it in person at the ELI office located in the North Annex, Room 109.
