Brooklyn Bridge Forever: A Monument in Stone and Steel

Manbeck, Brooklyn Borough Historian between 1993-2002, professor-emeritis, and author, presents this lecture about the development and construction of the Brooklyn Bridge and shows how 19th century pioneers overcame natural hindrances to create a work of art, "The Eighth Wonder of the Modern World." This program, which is free and open to the public, is made possible through the support of the New York Council for the Humanities’ Speakers in the Humanities program.
